ELNA Launches: A Nordic Database for Gender Equality in Art Music

The launch event will take place at Musik- och teaterbiblioteket in Stockholm on April 23rd at 17:30, celebrating the unveiling of ELNA’s beautifully designed and fully functional digital platform: www.elna.nu.

Developed through collaboration between organizations and individuals across Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark, ELNA provides global access to an expansive repertoire of underrepresented voices in Western art music. The database is a free, searchable tool for musicians, ensembles, educators, and researchers seeking to expand their programming and knowledge with works that deserve greater visibility on stages and in classrooms worldwide.

Thanks to generous support from Steinway & Sons, the evening will feature live performances of selected works from the database in the company of colleagues, artists, and changemakers from across the Nordic music scene.
